On August 26, the State Food and Drug Administration issued the "Rules for the Unique Identification System of Medical Devices" to further strengthen the supervision and management of the whole life cycle of medical devices and to make it clear that all medical devices sold and used in China will conform to the rules for the unique identification system of medical devices starting from October 1, 2019.
